全球单套产能最大乙烯装置在福建古雷高标准中交 The world's largest single-train ethylene plant reaches high-standard mechanical completion in Gulei, Fujian

On June 18, the SABIC FUJIAN Project, located in Gulei Petrochemical Development Zone, Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, achieved a major milestone breakthrough. The project's core flagship plant — the ethylene plant with a maximum annual capacity of 1.8 million tons — successfully completed high-standard TCCC and launched system commissioning, marking the project's official entry into the final sprint toward start-up and laying a solid foundation for smooth production commencement in the second half of 2026.

The ethylene plant handed over this time has a maximum annual capacity of 1.8 million tons, making it the world's largest single-train ethylene plant. Since the ethylene plant construction began, all participating entities have strictly maintained safety, quality, and schedule control. Through 840 consecutive days of intensive effort, the project accumulated 9.6 million safety work hours, achieving efficient coordination of safety, quality, and progress. It set an industry record for the fewest work hours and highest construction efficiency among comparable large-scale ethylene plants. The project completed the lifting and installation of five ultra-heavy, oversized towers (each exceeding 1,000 tons) in just 32 days, with multiple key construction indicators breaking industry records, adequately demonstrating China's strong capability in large-scale petrochemical engineering construction.

The project has now fully entered the system commissioning phase prior to production commencement. Upon production commencement, the project will effectively enhance China's independent supply capacity for high-end chemical raw materials, significantly reduce dependence on imports for high-end chemical products, strengthen petrochemical industrial chain and supply chain security, and support the high-end, clustered, and modernized development of China's petrochemical industry. At the same time, it will powerfully support the construction of a world-class petrochemical industry base in Fujian and serve high-quality local economic development.

SABIC FUJIAN Petrochemicals Co., Ltd. is a Sino-foreign joint venture established by Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and Fujian Energy Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd. The Company is investing in the construction of an integrated complex at the Gulei Petrochemical Base, comprising an ethylene plant with a maximum annual capacity of 1.8 million tons and downstream deep-processing units. The total investment is approximately 44.8 billion RMB (approximately USD 6.4 billion). The SABIC FUJIAN Project is the largest single-investment foreign project in Fujian Province to date. It is also a landmark petrochemical cooperation project aligning China's Belt and Road Initiative with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, serving as an important demonstration for deepening Sino-Saudi pragmatic cooperation and expanding high-level opening-up.

6月18日，位于福建漳州古雷石化开发区的中沙古雷乙烯项目实现重大节点突破，项目核心龙头装置——最高年产180万吨乙烯装置顺利完成高标准中间交接，启动联动试车，标志着项目正式进入投料试车冲刺阶段，为2026年下半年顺利投产筑牢坚实基础。

此次中交的乙烯装置最高年产能达180万吨，为当前全球单套产能最大乙烯装置。该乙烯装置自动工以来，各参建单位严把安全、质量和进度关，历时840天连续攻坚，累计实现960万安全人工时，实现安全、质量、进度高效协同，创下同类大型乙烯装置人工时最少、施工工效最高的行业纪录。项目仅用32天完成5台超千吨超限塔器吊装，多项关键施工指标刷新行业纪录，充分展现了我国大型石化工程建设的过硬实力。

目前，项目开始进入投产前的联动试车阶段。项目投产后，将有效提升我国高端化工原料自主供给能力，大幅降低高端化工产品对外依存度，稳固石化产业链供应链安全，助力我国石化产业高端化、集群化、现代化发展，同时有力支撑福建世界级石化产业基地建设，服务地方经济高质量发展。

福建中沙石化有限公司是沙特基础工业公司与福建省能源石化集团有限责任公司合资设立的一家中外合资企业。公司在古雷石化基地投资建设一套最高可达年产180万吨乙烯及下游深加工装置组成的石化联合体项目，总投资约448亿元人民币（约合64亿美元）。是福建省迄今为止一次性投资规模最大的外资项目，也是我国共建“一带一路”对接沙特“2030愿景”的标志性能源石化合作项目，对深化中沙务实合作、扩大高水平对外开放具有重要示范作用。
